Es muss nicht immer Kaviar sein

'It doesnt always have to be Caviar'
A series that has been very popular during the 60's-70's in Germany.
The origin is in the books, written by Mario
Simmel.
They're about a Banker from Germany who is being used as a agent/spy for several countries secret services in different missions.
He always operates with the habits and manners of his kind, loves beautiful women (of whom you see a lot naked in the tv series) and cooking.
Another important part of his person is his golden pocket watch (Omega) and his Gentlemans attire.
The series is to be found in Youtube in
perfect quality in german.
Its a great piece!!
Not only the stories are good and thrilling, the style the series is made is great!
A mixture of cooking-lessons (always in the last 4 min. of the series), love-affairs, 007-action and how to behave/dress in german upper-class during the 40's.
Really good stuff!

Excert from the life of Prince Marcus von Sachsen-Anhalt.
(The one who got rich through red-light businesses and bought his title).
Anyways, this picture gives us a nice impression of the life of an aristocrat nowadays;)

What the F is Skyfall?

Thilo Sarrazin

The only thing I will write about him is that if Axel Weber or others wouldve published his book it would be the 'Euro-Problem'-Bible.

Its based on simple, clear and hard facts concerning immigration and the problems that the currency-Euro and the EU suffers from due to the rules broken by german rulers (Maastricht et al).
The books called 'Deutschland schafft sich ab' makes him rich. Why? Because everybody talks about it, as its such an head-turner. He speaks of things others wouldnt have the balls to do so. But his intentions were not mean ones, he simply is a man of the fact a lover of statistics and rules.
He himself said that the people who hate him are stupid. Why? If you want to reach nobody talks about him and that his words are dead and unheared you just never talk about him, but today people who hate him write 11 pages about him in one of Germany's most popular Magazines: der Spiegel.
He is the secret winner of the past and the present year. Nobody wants to recognize it but thats the truth and slowly people start to realize it.
He remains sitting there praying his facts without any emotion and keeps smiling about how he a) is the only one who is right and has the balls to say so b) kicked germanys ass as a wake up call which made him a superstar and a celebrity c) can be sure that in a couple years time everybody will have recognized that listening to mr. Sarrazin wouldnt have been so wrong...

One last thought of his:
"The turks are conquering Germany as the Kosovars conquered Kosovo: through a higher birth-rate."

scaring...

Aramis

the deodorant.
efficient, wonderful smell, classic.
25€ is alot for a deodorant though.
never bought it myself until today, its always been a present, but summertime longs for a secure deodorant!:)

Went for the Levis

Thanks for the inspiration LBF. This 508 is cut wide at the waist and a little (or lots actually) tighter at the legs and ankle.
Look at prices in Germany.
Whats it-50$ for a 501 in Cali?

Now i'm off for a Vans-expedition! Hope to get the blue zapato del barca with white laces... Looks great in the internet.

Have a good day

Help, please

I need you guys.
2 important decisions concerning which stuff to buy. Casual stuff only. Please comment and let me know what you think.

1.
I decided to buy new jeans. Got way too many chinos and I do need a serious Jeans without any holes. A blue jeans. Just like a 501 from Levis you can buy in the states. But I am not and theLevis store only features badly cut jeans. That means: tight in the crutch, wide at the ankle.
So, whats your adresses for a nice simple, preferably more fitted jeans?
Armani? Too obvious. H&M? Am grown-up. Joker? Too less character...
You see-I need you!

2.
Boat shoes
I love my old (and I cannot stress the importance of the word old enough) Timberlands (the blue one; now a color similar to mud) but they need a serious brother in their league.
I was just thinking of buying the exact same model again, but then I wondered about maybe to take the brown one, until a friend told me to check out Sperry's Top-Sider. I dunno anything about Sperry. I just know that my old Timbs, all of them, last at least a couple of years now and remain in a perfect condition.
So, what are your experiences/ recommendations/ amenities??

Thanks in advance:-)

act likewise

Burberrys

love the classic trench, which is parked next to my Loden coat by Lodenfrey.
Say what.

The count still lives here

This is so perfect. Everything is renewed and so thought through and symmetrical like the french gardes were. There is a golf course too which is great!
You have to be an aristocrat!
but I prefer aristo-cats;-)
or pussies as some call them: aristo-puss!
