Gringotts!

Beautiful name btw.
Not the goblin Griphook, nor his collegue in the picture is exactly the one I thought of. But if you watch the movie and they walk through the hall with the goblins to their sides there are fine examples of this striped-three-piece-suit, simple shirt and polka-dotted-tie like in my post before!

Its sum like in the ugly pict. I found...

Have a good one

Max Raabe

Max Raabe and Palast Orchester!
Beautiful, but to be honest I could've fallen asleep during the slooow and silent songs since my day has rather been hasty.

The music is good but I definetely prefer Henry de Winter's music.
What excited me the most was how stiff and elegant M. Raabe stood all evening long. As if he had a hockey stick in his back under his Dinner Jacket and later his Cut (correct for Frack?!).
I was schooled to sit at the table the same way-through a stick in my back.
Old school drill tricks for people who care about such stuff, as my family did and partly still does.

I always admired how, and I cannot think of another word, cool M. Raabe looked in his Suits. I always had to think of James Bond the way he leaned at the piano.
For a man, there simply is no way to look better as in these two suits!!!!
So get one and wear it at home if you dont always find you an occasion.
One has to follow and keep following ones habits that one did learn in his childhood and those one can observe in ones grand-parents. (did I say 'one'). Keep up the old stuff or you'll get rid of your habits that show where you come from and where you learned thrm from. In german theres a saying: "Ein jeder gibt den Wert sich selbst." Everyone defines their one value. (my mother always quotes it).
And your value increases when you dont forget your family and the mentality that shows from their actions. Its an act of appraisal. No one's dead if his/her actions and values still live on in their ancestors.

Back to M. Raabe:
My friend noticed first how perfect his cuffs always showed out of his jacket the same length. Never moving, he sang his well-known tunes and between each song he named the writer and year plus maximum another sentence for a 'joke'. Low entertainment factor. High coolness due to Dinner Jacket.
His trousers btw were pretty wide but short at the same time. Just how I like it:-)

Have a good weekend

Ps: Der 1. Advent ist bereits Sonntag!
:-)

Chess and Cheese plus some nice local lecture makes your average morning special.

When is this going up again?

BUY when theres blood on the (greek and italian) streets and sell when the champaign bottles pop!

Gianfranco Ferré

This week has 4 working days pour moi, so its each day one GF tie. This was today. A group picture of the family will follow.
Theyre excellent quality and very italian. This one is half silver half dark blue in 2 very different cloths. The blue part is rough cotton whereas the silver part is very neat and shiny. Absolutely italian playfulness:-)
Still a very classic tie.

Good evening

Its "Tatort"-Time btw.

Taken from...

"Handelsblatt 'Karriere' ".

Green Blazer with gold-buttons. Purple tie. Red Slippers (w. Pennies). Burgundy cords.
The single items themselves are great. Especially the blazer.
But the way he is standing and the effort you see in the outfit are the things that I cannot stand. I don't believe its his vintage bag. He prbly ebayed it for 20 bucks.
I dont believe its 'him'-the outfit. He prbly just cares on wearing whats 'in' atm.
Nonetheless I'd turn my head for this combo.
Great items.

Ps: The question of the article is: how to dress for a job interview. Below answers of 'professionals' (cough cough). :-)

Blair-Witch-ing

I felt really empty and bored today, so I got up and walked deep in the woods just to feel as if I was 500years beyond now, living how my ancestors lived, feeling primitive feelings between the dark, old and well, scary trees.
I felt alive again. Especially when those bastard-pheasans popped out of nothing 2meters next to me-hella loud-and 2seconds later disappeared in thr foggy woods. I discovered a beautiful old farm in the middle of nowhere and a huge tree with hearts and the date 2000 on it.
My compagnion and, in case, weapon (dont laugh!) was a huge stick I found somewhere and sharpened with my inherited knife. There are families of pigs living in those woods, and those 'can' be deadly meetings when you meet a pig-momma and her kiddies.
Recommendable for each one of you chaps. Dark, cold winterevenings in the woods make you feel very alive again!
I am planning on doing this on a regular basis now.

Good evening for you chaps.
